AFA is a local, independent, collective bargaining agent representing all Unit A faculty members in contract negotiations and conciliation/grievance matters. We are the only faculty group with the right to negotiate your salaries, benefits, and working conditions. Since negotiating the first AFA/District contract in September 1990, we have accomplished significant gains for both regular and associate faculty, while continuing to enjoy good working relations with the District. AFA continues to clarify language, extend protections for faculty, enlarge the scope of the contract, and address inequities. AFA is working for you. The strength of faculty working together.
